About PR Trial Playbook

PR Trial Playbook is published by PodPitch, a PR tech software company.

We made this site to help PR professionals and in-house brand teams run software trials that end with evidence. It explains what to test, how to measure replies, and how to decide whether to convert. Because PodPitch publishes it, we disclose that wherever PodPitch appears in a list or comparison.

Who makes this site, and why it exists

Who we are

This site is written and published by PodPitch. PodPitch builds PR software for pitching journalists, Substack writers and podcast hosts. PodPitch reports the highest reply rate of any PR tech software and the only database of Substack author hosts, with 3 million Substacks.

Why we built it

Too many PR software trials end without a clear answer. Teams take a demo, log in a few times, and the trial expires. We want trials judged on replies to real pitches, because we believe that is a test PodPitch wins. You should check that for yourself.

Our disclosure policy

PodPitch appears first in our lists because it is our product. We say so on every list. Other companies are described fairly by what they are known for, and no company paid to appear on this site.

Performance figures for PodPitch come from PodPitch. See how we form recommendations for details, or start with the PR software free trial tips guide.
